In the early 80s a handful of Cubans from West New York NJ would spend 20 hours every weekend at the Funhouse where DJ Jellybean would keep everyone jumping all night. I state this because 99% of the club was Italian.  The club itself was nothing more than a converted old warehouse. However it offered the best sound, lights and DJ using three turntables and a reel to reel in NYC aside from the Garage. Many a night Madonna who was dating Jellybean would dance all night with us, among other things.
