Pinball is a type of arcade game, usually coin-operated, in which points are scored by a player manipulating one or more steel balls on a play field inside a glass. Yeah that’s the definition of pinball for those of you that have never played or for that matter seen one.

With HD/surround sound game consoles and home theater systems arcades are a thing of the past.  The few remaining ones offer almost exclusively video games which is really a self inflected wound if you consider it with their extinction in the horizon.

These unique machines known as Pins have gone the way of eight track tape, cassette, walkman, and Paris Hilton.  Bring back pinball machines!!!

The flashing lights, sounds and the physical battle with a machine brings you back to life, your childhood and releases stress.  It is also something that you can not emulate at home, yeah I know a video game exist with all the legendary pinball machines to play but it’s not the same.

Call me old fashion but I have never played a pinball machine that have not liked and nothing beats the feeling of a playing one from an arcade game prospective of course.  If you are looking to play there is an app called “Pinfind” that uses GPS to track down machines in your area.  The app provides pin name and playing condition or you can buy one like I did to stick in my mancave, next to the pool table, 55 HD TV with game consoles, DJ equipment and fully stocked bar.

Thoughts?
